Six months in and still in perfect condition I got this at the end of July 2016 for school the following year, and believe me, it’s withstood the first half of the year outstandingly. We haven’t been very nice to it in all honesty: this thing has been dropped, dragged, stepped on, probably.. Somehow it avoids becoming dirty at all. In six months of constant day to day use, the poorly secured leather zipper pulls came off (I thought they were ugly, personally…) and there are minor scratches on the bottom leather piece. Nice sturdy backpack , quality product My 14 year old son had to have a expensive and large backpack when school started….he’s since changed his mine researched Amazon himself and had to have this backpack. Of course I indulged hi (probably way too much), but he loves it. We can’t afford a laptop to utilize that portion of the backpack but he loves it otherwise. Super handy and lots of pockets!!! Yes it has a lot of pockets!! Even a hidden pocket on the outside right behind your back. I have a iPhone plus and it fits perfectly in there. Great for traveling and very durable too!! It was way worth my $48. I’m so glad it has sooooo many pockets inside where I can fit all of my items for school and art supplies. They have really out done it this time. It’s simple on the outside but perfect on the inside. One down is that the water bottle pockets are too small but they can fit travel size…
