The front of the bag is padded too, which is where I’ll keep my tablet. But I purchased the bag in purple for visibility and because it looks so pretty in the image, so I was disappointed to find it is actually a very dark purple (think eggplant) and is hardly distinguishable from black. This is a NICE laptop bag This is a NICE laptop bag. I purchased it on amazon prime this week, and before purchasing I read the reviews closely. I noticed some comments about concerns with the plastic clasps that hold the shoulder strap, so that was my only concern. Good news! The manufacturer must have recently changed the clasps, because mine are all metal on both the clasp side and the loop side that the clasp goes into.
