Excellent, Attractive, Minimalist Bag – With One Slight Flaw This is a beautiful, well-constructed, minimalist leather bag. It’s stylish, low profile and functional. The leather exterior is attractive and the interior is roomy and well designed.The bag is unusually narrow for this style bag, so you can’t load a bunch of stuff into it without it feeling crammed full. I can fit a 15″ laptop, a 9″ x 12″ sketchbook, a couple of full-ish file folders, a couple of magazines and a box of pencils/pens, along with various other smaller odds and ends…
Once I started using it, everything went downhill… Who thought of this design? I’ve used a “messenger bag” for years, but mine have all been synthetic materials. I once thought about trying to buy a very used leather satchel with character from a guide in Rabat, Morocco, but he didn’t speak English well, and I didn’t know whether I would be insulting him by offering cash for his old bag. When I later told my Moroccan friend about this, he bought me a new leather satchel as a gift. But I liked the wear and tear on the old bag…
Made well – except for the leather. Not even sure it’s solid leather. This is a review of the Clifton Heritage Leather Satchel/Laptop & Messenger Bag/Briefcase.I saw the photo of this briefcase and had to have it. Beware though, the photo of this product isn’t the one I received. I’ll include actual photos of the one I got with this review.The bag I received is nicely appointed. It has a nice handle on top that it stitched well and attached with brass rings and rivets. It’s nice and thick. The briefcase closes with an easy-to-use snap…
