The sole is made of blue foam with no grip Extremely unhappy with these!!! We bought these for my son to stand up in a wedding.These looked nice on top however the soles were cheap blue foam with no grips. It looked as if they forgot to finish the bottom of this shoe. My 7 yr old son slipped and fell quite a few times (he wasn’t running just walking) which resulted in his wedding clothes getting dirty. We paid 25$ for these shoes and they sucked. I was shocked at how nice it is From the photo, the heel looked black; on closer inspection, it looks like a navy blue. When it came in? BRIGHT BLUE. I wanted this for a formal event; it looks ridiculous. If that’s your thing, you do you! But it just did not go with the event my kid had to attend. Also, it’s too big. My kid wears Nike shoes, and in their sizing, he wears a Youth 7/Men’s 7 (they are the same size). This shoe was two sizes too big for him.
