High build quality, very nice leather; heavy compared with tech gear duffels. At nearly five pounds empty, this is not a lightweight or waterproof duffel bag. I could tell it was made of genuine leather when opening the box. With a few hours to air out, its perfect! The leather is soft and supple with a lovely reddish-brown color. Extra touches include oiled metal zippers that were wrapped during delivery, a terrific pouch on the center of the side which could hold your cell, wallet, snack bars, anything you need in conjunction to the use of the duffel.
