Not a reliable scale as is. Poor design or quality issue. When in use one must hold it close to the center with literally two fingers only, otherwise when spreading the weight fully on all fingers of one hand the scale handle seems to give in a little and internally disconnects (I suspect) from the battery. On my trip out, my suitcase was around 44 lbs, so it was no issue when weighed at the airport.
