I have several, and have for several years. Never had any problems. I know these are pretty easy to defeat, but they’re inexpensive and convenient. I own about a dozen of them, and have NEVER had a problem with them resetting unexpectedly, “auto-locking” or otherwise causing issues as others have described. We keep one on our side-gate of our house, and yes, it needs to be lubricated occasionally to remain smooth, even in mostly-dry Southern California. Not the beefiest lock made by Master Lock, but by far an easy lock to use. As many of the reviews say, this lock is not a luggage lock, or not sized for the majority of suitcase made holes for locks on the zippers/compartments. I like the ability to change the code and the simplicity in which to do so – just make sure you try the lock off of what you are locking first to make sure you have the right combination.
