Alternative Use and Additional Dimensions I purchased this lock not for luggage but for use on a hard sided toolbox used to hold for transport an expensive & heavy lens. My concern was not to have a lock to prevent theft as I figure someone would just take the toolbox (but I suppose that would apply to luggage too), although it might be of value if left in a motel room, keeping the honest from peering in out of curiosity and then being tempted. Because the latch of the toolbox is almost too easy to open I wanted a backup or fail-safe…
Good but not great I expected that the locking cable would stand up to standard TSA gorillas but, they bent the cable at the entry point into the locking mechanism and it is now almost impossible to use. The numbers on the dials are almost impossibly to see as they are clear coated with a shiny lacquer that keeps one from being able to effectively see what combination is currently lined up. Also, the dials show on both sides so be sure to only look at the side that has the Maxpedition logo otherwise you might…
