I actually think the zipper comes like that for some reason because this one came with the inside zipper the same way. I zipped it and re-opened it several times and it worked fine. Sturdy and wonderfully designed I bought this bag for my husband so he could take his lap top and papers to work and back. His Asus computer is a little longer than his old one, and it fits perfectly in this bag. Note that the strap that goes over the top of his slightly oversized computer is a too short to velcro to the divider which would hold a smaller computer in place, but with the inside zipper and then fold over top, he doesn’t use the velcro strap anyway.
