Smaller than the maximum carry on size by about 3 inches. The shoe compartment is of dubious value, as it takes up space inside the bag. Once I put my size 10’s in there about 1/2 the bag storage area is gone and it sits RIGHT in the middle so forget about putting your jeans there. I love this duffel bag as it has plenty of room for my boys clothes when we go on small trips or going to stay at their Aunt’s house. I love that it folds up so we can store it when not in use. We’ve only used the shoe compartment once for their shoes, but it’s used mostly for their toiletries and socks. I put a small bag with their toothbrush/paste, hairbrush, and soap and put that in the shoe compartment, then place their socks (sometimes undies) so that they’re easier to find instead of…
