Product Features
- RoofBag PREMIUM carriers are 100% waterproof and made with Triple-Seal technology in the seams to provide maximum protection in extreme weather. The most durable and reliable soft rooftop carrier money can buy. Highest customer rating of any car top carrier in the market. Two-year warranty.
- Manufactured by RoofBag in the USA with the safest and most advanced materials: no toxic or harmful chemicals. Fabric is heavy-duty, tight-knit polyester canvas liquid-coated (not laminated) on both sides with vinyl for maximum waterproofness and durability. As a result, the carrier is tear-proof, abrasion-resistant, resistant to extreme heat and cold, immune to the sun’s UV rays, mildew-resistant and fire-retardant.
- Size 11 fits all cars, large and small. Size 15 fits only larger cars: SUVs, vans and full size sedans. Fits only cars with SIDE RAILS, CROSS BARS, or BASKETS. Recommended accessory: RoofBag Protective Mat (sold at RoofBag’s Amazon store). It protects the roof from scratching and keeps the carrier from shifting.
- Secure attachment: Included heavy duty straps are designed to secure the carrier at any highway speed: seat-belt style, 1.5″ wide, 3,000 lbs strong. Unique STRAP GUIDE fastening system is more secure than any other system: straps are not attached to carrier (attachments can tear away), but slide under guides at the top of the bag. Straps press down the carrier against the roof for the most secure and stable attachment.
- Easy installation: in a car WITH RACK straps loop around the side rails, cross bars or basket. Easy to store: folded size is only 10″x8″x4″.
Drove 400 miles in the rain without issues We drove 400 miles in the rain without issues. The lining is thick and of good construction. One thing to note when packing the bag, one end is deeper than the other for a tapered appearance (I assume to reduce wind resistance). The zipper on the front end is only as deep as the bag and you cannot “overfill” the front, but you can “overfill” and stack items higher in the back and easily zip over them. We EASILY fit 1 large suite case, 2 medium, and 1 small with PLENTY extra room…
Read this if you are thinking of buying the RoofBag. Worth every penny!!! The RoofBag was delivered very quickly. I was amazed at the size of it. I ordered the 15 cubic feet size for my wife’s GMC Acadia. It fit perfectly. I was able to fit one large suitcase, 3 small suitcases, 2 medium sized duffle bags, 2 backpacks, 4 pillows and a blow up mattress in it. I probably could have fit a few more things in it but that was fine. I also purchased the mat to protect the roof. The straps were pretty simple to get set up. It goes faster if you have someone on both…
Truly waterproof!! Absolutely loved this roofbag!!We took a 1,000+ mile trip with it, and drove through a massive rain storm. It was still in top notch condition, and we didn’t have any water get in at all.We were able to fit a large and small suitcase, a duffle bag, a pretty large basket, and a couple other smaller things in it. And still had room to spare. Going off the advice from other reviewers, I did put a couple towels up in the front to help with noise, but barely noticed any extra noise. I…
