Great Base This is a very well built bag, The storage area for a laptop is 16″ x 11″ X 2″ish. It holds a 15″ laptop just fine (17″ laptop would be a tight fit in the center compartment.. There is not much padding, just the leather and liner, I have my 15″ laptop in a sleeve as well (not shown in picture), this makes it a little tight. It is very well constructed.
