Awesome travel bag for a MacBook Very well made bag, Medium would have been a perfect size for a 15″ laptop. However I have a 13″ MacBook and felt it was not quite snug enough, so I am exchanging it for a small and hopefully that will fit better. Plenty of space in the middle for a neck pillow and the outside flap pocket is perfect for easy access to your boarding passes. I really like this bag & I will update once I try out the smaller size as well.UPDATE: The Small fit the 13″ MacBook Pro a lot better…
Hands down, this is the best messenger bag I’ve ever used. I’m able to hold a tablet, 15″ laptop and hotspot in the back flap of the large bag. The front pockets make carrying all cables and assorted junk I need a breeze. I really like the pocket on top of the flap for flashlights, multitools, and other items I want to get at without opening the whole bag. If I have a complaint, I think Timbuk2’s sizing recomendations are a bit optimistic. The large is supposed to accommodate a 17″…
I bought this bag to replace my very old Northface backpack that I’d been using to haul around my various laptops for more than 12 years. I didn’t want to go full-on “briefcase” and wanted the looks and functionality of a messenger bag.I went with the Timbuk2 Commute for its TSA-friendly design and picked the large on the assumption it would easily-hold my 17″ MacBook Pro… which it does, sort of.
