To fix this I applied some felt tape (also bought from Amazon) around the rail (see photo) and now the hangers are perfect. I originally bought these hangers for use in a Tumi Alpha 2 carry-on bag, but returned it for a Briggs & Riley. I kept the hangers, though, because they work well in a suit/garment compartment of other bags such as my Briggs & Riley. This is because of the shortened hanger component; it takes up less hanging space. The only problem is the pants rail is too slippery to hold wool pants, for example.
