TSA broke the lock, said it’s not recognized. On a flight from Miami to Neward, the TSA left a note in our suitcase saying that they had to break this lock to open the bag. Upon calling the TSA we were told that while the lock is “approved”, it is not recognized by the TSA and they don’t have keys for it.Apparently the only two recognized locks are ones by Safe Sky and Travel Sentry, so be warned the TSA will break this lock if they want to get into your bag.https://www.tsa.gov/travel/travel-tips…
Beware. Do not waste your money on these locks. I would only by these for my son because they were easier for him to use. I found very quickly that they were so easy to break that mean kids at the school could simply walk up to his locker pull hard and break it right off his locker. After replacing broken locks on three occasions, I decided to no longer waste my money. My son now uses a traditional dial lock. WARNING: TSA removed two locks off my bags this month and weren’t reattached or returned in luggage — so, why would anyone want to buy this product? I thought this was going to be great locks since I’ve used this type of lock before. However, I had a notice in my luggage from the TSA that they randomly selected my bag for inspection.
